THE PROJECT - A cycle of creation exploring collective memory and the transformations of French society from the post-World War II era to today. This cycle is inspired by the company’s recent regional projects and the auto-socio-biographical works of Annie Ernaux.

After examining collective memory through the lenses of personal memories and death (Ci-gît! and Notre Empreinte, based on La Mastication des morts by P. Kermann) and reflecting on modern history and major events of the first half of the 20th century (La troisième vague and Diptyque Mémoire & Résistance), the company now delves into living memory—recent history and its intergenerational transmission.

This cycle emerged from several artistic laboratories conducted in 2018 with various amateur participants (high school students, university students, and residents of Brissac, in the Cévennes). It draws inspiration from the works of Annie Ernaux, particularly her epic novel The Years (2008, Gallimard), which serves as the cycle's “guiding thread.”

SAVE THE DATE! Includes...

LA FEMME DE LA PHOTO – Premiered on November 4 and 5, 2020, at Théâtre Jean Vilar (Montpellier). A staged production blending theater, sound installation, and video, adapted from Annie Ernaux's novel The Years.

LES INSTANTANÉS – Created between 2019 and 2021, these are short-form performances for non-traditional spaces, presented by members of the artistic team. They are linked to the main production or stand alone. (Five monologues, adaptations of Ernaux’s other texts such as A Woman and The Place, or works inspired by her auto-socio-biographical approach).

#GENERATION(S) – Premiered in 2022, this production combines documentary theater, storytelling, video, and live music.
